Karin Yohe grew up in the Chicago suburbs, but has spent much of her life moving around, both in and out of the United States. Karin graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in accounting, and a few years after marriage, her and husband moved to Kansas City to raise their kids. As a stay at home mom, Karin has had that opportunity to do lots of volunteering over the years. She has volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Stephen Ministry, and she has also served as a classroom volunteer and youth mentor.
Karin first heard about Brother Bill’s Helping Hand when her daughter began volunteering with the ministry years ago. So, when Karin and her husband moved to Dallas two years ago, it was an easy choice to get involved with Brother Bill’s. Currently, Karin handles communications for the Women’s Council, but she also serves at the Back to School Bash, Christmas Party, and as a Brother Bill’s greeter in the grocery store. Karin is passionate about serving at Brother Bill’s because it is a place where people have valuable opportunities to grow, learn, give and serve. She is constantly encouraged by the generosity and humility of the neighbors and hopes this is a ministry she will be a part of for a long time.
