Adriana Amaya serves as the Programs Director at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand, a role she has held since March 2022. With a dynamic background in radio broadcasting, Adriana spent years creating and hosting public affairs programs that amplified the voices of community organizations and championed social awareness. Her storytelling and communication skills continue to be central to her work in nonprofit leadership.
Born in Monterrey, Mexico, and raised in Dallas’ Webb Chapel neighborhood, Adriana’s personal journey fuels her deep commitment to empowering underserved communities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Spanish for Global Competence, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington—achievements she pursued while working full-time and raising a family. Her favorite saying, “Cuando se quiere, se puede” (“Where there’s a will, there’s a way”), reflects the determination that defines her career and life.
At Brother Bill’s, Adriana has been a driving force behind innovative adult and family programs such as Homebuyer Workshops, financial literacy classes, and job fairs, while also strengthening impactful existing efforts like Pathways, a job training and empowerment initiative for women. Her work blends strategic leadership with genuine compassion, aiming to create sustainable change in the lives of those she serves.
A proud wife, mother, and devoted follower of Christ, Adriana finds joy in uniting her faith with her mission-driven work. Her belief in service as a lifestyle is evident in everything she does.
Fun Facts: Adriana is the voice behind Tu Comunidad con Adriana, a podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts where she explores topics that matter most to the community she loves.
She also pastors a Spanish-speaking congregation at Webb Chapel, faithfully serving the same neighborhood where she grew up.
