Ana Alvarado

Assistant Programs director

Ana Alvarado has the privilege of serving as the Assistant Programs Director at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand (BBHH), where she has faithfully worked for the past 14 years. Her journey with BBHH began even earlier—as a participant in the Pathways Empowerment and Job Training Program, which helped her gain the skills and confidence to transform her life. That same program has now empowered a lot of other women, and Ana is proud to play a part in continuing that legacy.

A lifelong resident of West Dallas, Ana deeply understands the needs, challenges, and strengths of the community she serves. Her work is not just a job, it’s a calling. She is passionate about uplifting others and support where needed, whether by helping a neighbor through a difficult season, or simply sharing a kind word and prayer.

Ana has been happily married for over 30 years and is the proud mother of three children and two grandchildren. Her family, faith, and community are her greatest joys. Through every role she fills—wife, mother, grandmother, mentor —Ana strives to live out her mission: to share God’s word, serve with compassion, and love her neighbors well.

In her words, "We hear so many stories, each one with different needs and struggles. It’s my mission to bring hope, serve with humility, and be a vessel of God’s love every single day."

She truly believes that small acts of love and kindness can lead to lasting change, and she encourages everyone to do the same.
