Ashleigh Anderson
Youth and Children’s Program Manager
Ashleigh Anderson joined Brother Bill’s Helping Hand in June as the Youth & Children’s Program Manager. She’s worked with children since just after high school, and creating safe, joyful spaces for kids is where her heart is. Before BBHH, Ashleigh served as Director of Children’s Programs and Volunteers at a nonprofit supporting previously incarcerated mothers and their children, and she also taught kindergarten.
Ashleigh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development with an emphasis in Child Life, training that equipped her to support children who have experienced trauma and to meet each child where they are. She’s also certified through the Chalmers Center to teach Faith & Finance, helping families view finances through a biblical lens.
She was drawn to BBHH by a passion for teaching little ones about Jesus. After working in public education—where she couldn’t openly share her faith—Ashleigh was excited for a role that lets her pour into kids and families while sharing Jesus unapologetically.
Ashleigh grew up in church and was baptized at seven, but it wasn’t until college—while working at a church-connected preschool and joining a community at Watermark’s Porch—that she began following Jesus whole-heartedly. She describes her faith as the source of a peace and joy she couldn’t have created on her own.
Ashleigh loves nonprofit work because it helps bridge gaps in community care. She’s grateful to be part of what God is doing in West Dallas and looks forward to seeing how He moves through the ministry.
Fun fact: When her friends jumped off a bridge, she jumped too!
