Blane Rogers

West Dallas stem school site director

Blane Rogers joined the Brother Bill’s Helping Hand team in August 2022 as the Site Director for the West Dallas STEM School. Over the past three years, his role has expanded through a growing partnership with Dallas ISD. He now serves as the Resource Center Partnership Director, overseeing the implementation and operation of two grocery store-style resource centers located at DISD’s Resource Center West and Resource Center South.

In addition to his work with the resource centers, Blane and his team help manage two educational gardens: the Garcia STEM School Learning Garden and the Helping Hand Market Garden, a community garden located in the historic La Bajada neighborhood of West Dallas.

Before joining BBHH, Blane spent 15 years in public education. His career included roles as a P.E. teacher, 3rd grade teacher, and assistant principal at both the elementary and middle school levels. He brings this wealth of educational experience to his current role  where he focuses on building strong relationships with staff and students. Blane is passionate about sparking curiosity and empowering students and community members with knowledge about self-sustainability and growing fresh, healthy food.

An avid outdoorsman, Blane enjoys sports, gardening, camping, and fishing. He especially loves sharing these passions with his incredible wife, Emily, and their three amazing children.
