When Winter Storm Uri blew through Dallas, many residents endured limited or no power, heat, WiFi, or water in their homes. Driving conditions were dangerous and schools were closed. Families were left scrambling to keep themselves warm and fed, even finding refuge with friends or a local warming center. Our neighbors in West Dallas and Oak Cliff were no exception.

Our first ASIDA group has 14 stewards who have collectively saved over $13,000 to be matched generously by Watermark CDC, even during this trying year. This group meets virtually twice a month to offer accountability and support to help one another accomplish their savings goals.
