Ernestina Flores

Social Services Coordinator

Ernie joined Brother Bill’s Helping Hand in September 2025 as a Social Services Coordinator. In this role, she connects neighbors with life-changing resources and wraparound services that make a meaningful impact in their daily lives. Before coming to BBHH, Ernie worked as a Spanish interpreter, ran her own pop-up bakery, and served as a program coordinator at a local children’s hospital.

She is currently pursuing her Community Health Worker certification. Ernie has always felt called to serve families and communities in meaningful ways, and she was drawn to BBHH because its mission aligns closely with both her personal values and professional experience.

Ernie came to faith at a young age, and her relationship with Jesus has been the foundation of her life. She has experienced God’s faithfulness firsthand, especially through life’s most difficult seasons.

Born and raised in Oak Cliff, Ernie loves spending time with her family, caring for her plants, and exploring new foods. A self-proclaimed foodie, she enjoys both baking and cooking. Her work in the nonprofit sector is deeply personal, as it allows her to live out her faith by meeting both practical and spiritual needs.

Fun fact: Ernie is a plant enthusiast—her love for gardening started during COVID and has grown into a full collection of plants.
