Mariah Almaguer

YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Mariah Almaguer joined Brother Bill’s Helping Hand in 2023 as an intern and has since grown into her role as the Youth & Children’s Coordinator. She helps lead and support programs for children and youth, bringing her passion for working with kids and creating meaningful experiences for them to BBHH. Before joining the organization, Mariah began working at her family’s restaurant at age 16, where she served as a hostess.

Mariah is a recent high school graduate and is currently pursuing her associate degree. Her journey with BBHH began through her three younger sisters, who joined the After School Program in 2022. After seeing the impact the program had on her sisters, Mariah began volunteering and quickly discovered how much she loved working with children. That experience inspired her to become more involved and eventually join the BBHH team.

Mariah’s faith has grown and developed throughout her life. While she did not always understand her faith in the same way she does today, her relationship with God has become an important source of hope and transformation in her life. She is grateful for the ways her faith continues to shape who she is and how she serves others.

A Dallas, Texas, native, Mariah is passionate about nonprofit work because she loves the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She hopes to continue growing in her career while serving children and families in her community.

Fun Fact: Mariah bought her own house at just 18 years old!
