Norma Frias
Market Coordinator
Norma Frias joined Brother Bill’s Helping Hand nearly two years ago as the Market Coordinator. Before joining the BBHH team, Norma was a stay-at-home mom, dedicating her time to raising and caring for her children. Today, she brings that same heart for caring for others into her work, helping ensure families in the community have consistent access to food and the support they need.
Norma holds her GED and has continued to build her skills through hands-on experience, lifelong learning, and community service. Her dedication to serving others is reflected in the work she does each day as part of the BBHH Market team.
Norma’s journey with BBHH began through the Pathways program. After graduating from Pathways, she was offered the opportunity to join the BBHH team. Her experience in the program opened the door for her to continue serving the same community that had supported and encouraged her.
Faith is an important part of Norma’s desire to serve others. One experience that has stayed with her was when a woman came into the food pantry feeling deeply depressed and asked for prayer. Being able to offer her spiritual and emotional comfort through prayer was a defining moment for Norma and reminded her of how her faith can directly impact those who are hurting and in need.
Norma is passionate about strengthening her community through her work at BBHH. She is grateful for the opportunity to help families access food while also making them feel welcomed, cared for, and supported.
Fun Fact: Norma’s perfect weekend includes enjoying a delicious Chinese buffet and authentic Mexican food!
