Volunteer with Brother Bill’s Helping Hand!

Volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand. We now have several locations throughout Dallas. Our main site location is our West Dallas campus located on North Westmoreland Road.  Volunteers can help with our grocery store at any of our pantries, help in our garden, help children with their homework, provide lunches for our programs, or participate in our annual events.

Our Helping Hands register with us and can schedule where they’d like to contribute their time on our volunteer hub called VOMO. Use the button below to register as a volunteer with us and schedule your project. Use the organization code BROTHERBILLSHELPINGHAND when you create an account on VOMO.

On behalf of the entire team at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand – thank you for sharing your time, spirit, and talents with us!

Volunteer at our sites through DISD

In 2021, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand entered a partnership with DISD to open pantries inside their Resource Centers. These Resource Centers provide a range of programs and services to help Dallas ISD students and families overcome obstacles that may interfere with academic success. They offer after-school programs, food and nutrition, healthcare, counseling, recreation, and other essential services to meet the unique needs of district families.

Volunteers will help our neighbors navigate the grocery aisles, make their selections, bag the groceries they receive, and help neighbors out to their vehicles as needed.  At the Resource Center West, volunteers can also help lead classes in the Learning Garden. In the Learning Garden, we have over 64 garden beds and 30 fruit trees.

Grocery Store

Our grocery store is constantly in need of Helping Hands to restock the shelves and staff the store during open hours. If you want to help our neighbors fill their pantries with nourishment, this is the volunteer gig for you!

Camps & Educational Programs

Do you have strong computer skills? Do you speak Spanish and English? Are you a strong reader? Are you a certified yoga instructor?

If you answered yes to any of these questions or have any other skills that can add value to our camps and educational programs, we can use your help! Our programs are always in need of inspired volunteers who want to share their time and talent to enrich the lives of our neighbors.
