One of our greatest joys is supporting the children of our community. Our West Dallas kids deserve every opportunity to learn and grow.

Resources for parents with school aged children

During this current COVID-19 crisis many of you are finding yourselves, along with our team, homeschooling your children. We want to share some great resources with you that will keep your kids learning and having fun.

Our friends over at Readers 2 Leaders have an incredible virtual learning program, educational websites and fun games. Click here to explore this awesome resource.

The National Center for Families Learning has a great resource for Out of School Time, click here for that resource.

Here’s a resource from the Bush Center for parents navigating this new world of home schooling.

And, finally our friends at The Center for Integrative Counseling and Psychology, wanted to share this resource with you, click here.

Thanks to our volunteers and generous donors, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand is able to provide a wide variety of programming for our kids, including:

  • Art camp

  • Ballet camp

  • Camp Ozark

  • Cheer camp

  • Sports camps (soccer, volleyball, basketball, football, etc.)

  • STEM camp

  • Summer reading club

  • Vacation bible school

We also host annual events to support our families with children. These include:

The Annual Back-to-School Beach Bash - august 4th & 5th

A fun-filled event with games, water slides and food to celebrate back-to-school season. Children are provided with free backpacks and school supplies as part of the event.

Our Family Christmas Celebration - December 12th to 16th

This event focuses on families with children ages 0-12. Santa helps us celebrate Christmas with pictures, games, stockings, gifts and a gift card for the whole family.

Neighbor Day - Saturday, APril 29th

The Neighbor Day fair focuses on family fun and healthy living. Activities include exercise classes, cooking demonstrations, bounce houses, games, healthy food, and free fun for the entire family. The day will begin with a Fun Run along the Trinity Skyline Trail.
