January 25, 2023 — Toyota is collaborating with Dallas ISD, SMU and Brother Bill’s Helping Hand on a new on-site, grocery-store-style food pantry and learning garden at West Dallas STEM School.

June 8, 2022- Brother Bill’s Helping Hand has been providing free mental health services for this predominantly Latino neighborhood since 2014. Prior to the pandemic, says clinic director Ivan Esquivel, they typically had about 500 visits a year. Last year, they had 1,600.

Partnership brings groceries to south dallas food desert

September 30, 2022 — By working collaboratively, two Dallas-area nonprofit organizations with Texas Baptist connections will bring free groceries and other services to a South Dallas food desert.

Dallas Blood stem cell registration drive held for boy battling cancer

May 23, 2022- Several people got their cheeks swabbed at an event held at Brother Bill’s Helping hand in Dallas. It was part of a Blood Stem Cell Registration Drive to raise awareness for an urgent need of donors. DKMS and Brother Bill's Helping Hand partnered together to register people as life-saving donors.

We want them to look at us as an equal, and we’re just there to facilitate a grocery store so they can get everything they need. If they’re a patient of our clinic, we ask them to chip in some money for their health care so they have a value add … we create these opportunities for honor and dignity

West Dallas ministry tops 1 million meals provided in 2020

October 12, 2020 - A West Dallas community ministry that provided 750,000 meals to needy families and individuals last year already has given away its 1 millionth meal in 2020. At the current pace, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand likely will distribute more than 1.25 million meals by the end of the year.
