Matt Garcia

Originally from Houston, Texas, Matt Garcia is a member of the Brother Bill’s Helping Hand Board of Trustees. Currently the director of external affairs for Leon Capital Group, Matt is responsible for public affairs, governmental relations and communications. Prior to joining Leon Capital, Matt served as Chief of Staff for Texas Congressman Pete Sessions. In his position on the Board, Matt is able to leverage his diverse background in finance, public affairs and community involvement to bring more resources and connections to Brother Bill’s. 

Matt earned a Bachelor’s in business administration from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of Leadership Dallas. Outside of serving on the Brother Bill’s Board, Matt serves on several other nonprofit boards. Matt is excited to be serving on the Brother Bill’s board and hopes he can contribute towards moving the organization forward to maximize the impact it has on the West Dallas community. Matt lives in the Prestonwood area with his wife and daughter, and another baby girl on the way!
