Natalia Barajas
Social Services Manager
Natalia Barajas joined Brother Bill’s Helping Hand (BBHH) in November 2022 as a Front Office Coordinator before transitioning to the Social Services Department in January 2025 as the Assistant Social Services Manager. In January 2026, she advanced into her current role as Social Services Manager, where she leads and supports programs designed to connect individuals and families with essential resources and wraparound services.
In her current role, Natalia helps neighbors overcome transportation barriers through BBHH’s Transportation Program, which provides rides to grocery stores, medical appointments, and pharmacies. She also serves as a case manager for the Empower Financial Futures Program, supports community workshops and outreach initiatives, and visits BBHH locations throughout the Dallas area to connect neighbors with available resources. As a bilingual English-Spanish professional and certified Community Health Worker, Natalia is committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive support and helping individuals navigate systems and resources with dignity.
Natalia is passionate about professional growth and lifelong learning. She earned an Associate of Arts from Dallas College and completed her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Diversity Studies at the University of Texas at Arlington in May 2026. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at UTA through the Advanced Standing program, with a focus on direct practice, mental health, and substance use. Her professional interests include mental health, substance use, grief and loss, trauma-informed practice, and supporting individuals and families experiencing life transitions and challenges.
Natalia’s journey with BBHH has played an important role in her personal and professional development. After completing BBHH’s Pathways Empowerment and Job Training Program in Fall 2022, she continued to grow within the organization while pursuing higher education and expanding her skills in social services. Her experiences have strengthened her commitment to serving Dallas’ diverse communities and pursuing a career dedicated to helping others.
Born in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, Natalia moved to Dallas at age 16 and has spent much of her life in Oak Cliff. Her personal experiences and connection to the Dallas community continue to shape her passion for service, advocacy, and social work.
Outside of work and school, Natalia enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for her cats, chickens, ducks, and dog, and listening to podcasts on a variety of topics.
