Forging a New Path Forward

Emmanuel Sanders is a West Dallas neighbor whose life has changed for the better since becoming involved with Brother Bill’s Helping Hand. Emmanuel, originally from Tennessee, came to Dallas four years ago and found himself unemployed, living out of his car, and at rock bottom. After moving into West Dallas, Emmanuel heard about Brother Bill’s Helping Hand, registered with the ministry, and began to receive free groceries through the Grocery Store program. He found a job working for Trinity Railway Express (TRE), but he still needed the food to make ends meet.

When coming for groceries Sanders heard about and registered for Faith & Finances for Men, a new Brother Bill’s Helping Hand program where men could learn how to better manage their money. Through the 6-week program and the fellowship with the others in the class, Emmanuel learned more about the Lord and basic financial principles.

After graduation, Sanders sought and found a better paying job. He now works as a driver at The Tradition Senior Living complex in North Dallas. Emmanuel is now thriving in his new job, has new financial knowledge and life-skills, and he gives all the glory to God.
