In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, BBHH is featuring our own Program Director Adriana Amaya.

This fall, our brand new afterschool program is up and running! We’re currently serving a small group of kids for our pilot launch, and aim to double our class size every semester.

We are honored to be on this list of outstanding organizations and to be part of a community that champions the necessary mission of serving our neighbors!

Tents hosting volunteers, stored vaccines, and vaccine administration tools stood in our campus parking lot as cars lined up to receive the vaccine in a drive-thru format.

When Winter Storm Uri blew through Dallas, many residents endured limited or no power, heat, WiFi, or water in their homes. Driving conditions were dangerous and schools were closed. Families were left scrambling to keep themselves warm and fed, even finding refuge with friends or a local warming center. Our neighbors in West Dallas and Oak Cliff were no exception.

Our first ASIDA group has 14 stewards who have collectively saved over $13,000 to be matched generously by Watermark CDC, even during this trying year. This group meets virtually twice a month to offer accountability and support to help one another accomplish their savings goals.

Dubbed Operation Pitter Patter, the emergency Resident Necessities Assistance Program for families provides essential supplies to women, infants, and seniors, including items like diapers, formula, distilled water, and feminine and senior hygiene products.
